I'm taking a class today in needle-turn applique. Hopefully, I will start something that will eventually look like this picture that the teacher made.......or at least similar. I'll probably choose different colors. The visiting teacher is Mary Sorenson and she gave a wonderful lecture and showed her gorgeous nature quilts at our guild meeting Wednesday night. She designs her own patterns and I hope to learn to make some of them eventually.....if I ever get the hang of it. Then I want to quilt birds! that is really cute :) Im looking forward to seeing some of your work in time!
Mosefruen: It will be a while before I make anything that good...her stuff is really beautiful. I did feel like I learned a lot and have 2 leaves and 3 berries and some stems done :-) Mostly we learned "how and why" to do things and tips for making it easier. I feel more comfortable with it and may try a bird of some kind when I finish this.
