Something different...the Southern Indiana British Car Club show.....

Take a beautiful fall day combine it with beautiful British cars and the mighty Ohio River in the background and enjoy!  That is what we did last Saturday.

I don't have a lot of individual comments.  I just enjoyed the beautiful cars, and the flags flying in the wind, and the river in the background. 

 I have to point out that Mike used his 3-D printer to make the red plastic pieces that are propping up the hood on this TD.  This car belongs to a friend of his....isn't it a beauty??

Mike said that most of the mini's were German and not British. 

 I love the smile :-)

I liked the flag reflecting on the hood. 

What a lot of great cars and a great day to view them!

Deck Visitor #2....

A couple days after the hawk, I had another deck visitor....

"Oh, boy....sunflower seeds, my favorite snack!" 

 "Oops.....busted!"

 "You did hang this here for ME, didn't you????"

"Oh.....my misunderstanding....I'll move along now" 

"I really don't think that it is fair for the birds to get all the good stuff!  Don't you like raccoons?"

Deck Visitor #1...

This hawk has been visiting our deck lately looking for small birds.

 He's sitting on top of the bird feeder.....

....I guess I have to explain to him what the term "bird feeder" really means.

I think it is a Cooper's.
Mike took these photos.  He heard it land....probably hit the glass windows and was recovering a bit before flying on.  It came back the next day and caught a small bird.

Fall at Howell wetlands...

I haven't been out much, but today we went to the wetlands and there was lots of wildlife in evidence. These photos are in no particular order.

This bunny was on the trail.....looks half asleep. 

 A large group of Mallards were on one pond and appeared to be changing into their mating plumage.

A large group of Canada Geese were on the creek area. 

 I like this log of little turtles watching the geese eat the duckweed.

A Goldfinch picking out flower seeds in the meadow 

 A Great Blue Heron arrived just before we left.

Several Killdeer in the mud with the ducks.

 A Painted Lady Butterfly on the asters.

This Leaf Hopper jumped right in front of me.  I'm amazed at how "leaf like" they are, even to the veins.  Great way to hide!

I was happy to find a couple of Monarch butterflies on the asters. 

They must have been fairly new....they were in perfect condition. 

There were two sandpipers in the mud. 

I liked the mix of geese and turtles.  I should make this into a header shot, but I quit changing my header a few years ago.

Dig those "Freddy Krueger" nails!   Ouch!

Not sure why I included this wasp and bee....just more of the life that was buzzing around.
