Watery Wednesday.....

It's Watery Wednesday! Thanks to 2sweetnsaxy for hosting this site! I've been seeing a lot of water lately, but never seem to post it on the correct day for this meme! So here are a couple of watery shots from yesterday in Henderson. My bird post follows.
This the area where we saw the eagle's nest in the following post. It is way up in one of those trees out in the water.

Love that last photo: are they cypress?

Thank you everyone. I don't know what kind of trees they are and they are so far out in the water, I can't see the details that well. Will try to get closer shots. I've seen them in other watery areas around here, too.

The geese will be nesting in April here.....

What a great area for birdlife. Those trees look very intersting too. Do you know their name by any chance? I have to remember to enlarge photos on my visits. You can see such great detail in them and pick up things you would never notice otherwise. Great shots Mary. Thank you.

That 2nd shot reminds me of a scene in the movie The Notebook where they're in a boat on the water & there's a bunch of geese swimming around them. I have a video of that scene at the bottom of my page if you haven't seen the movie! It's so beautiful to see them all there swimming around the boat!!!

I love that second shot Mary! I'm humming that old Blue Bayou song. :)
I left you a comment below about the eagle - hope we see more pics.

If they just didn't poop so much...

Everything here still frozen. Warmer weather on the way. Yipee!
Your last shot looks like it could be someplace in Louisiana..

As far as I know the trees are Cypress. It does look like a bayou in Louisianna instead of a slough along the side of a road within sight of the bridges crossing over from Kentucky to Indiana and very close to the Ellis Park Horse racing track!

Lately, water is all I have been seeing with all these bad storms we are having.

This looks like an amazing place. Love the photos. I start the post on Tuesday because our Tuesday is Wednesday for some. So I guess most people start posting on Tuesday. But I try to catch everyone no matter what day. It's never too late for me. :-)

Joan: Why is it that water always seems to be either too much or too little to suit us ?? Good thing God is in charge and will get it right if man doesn't screw things up too badly.

2sweetnsaxy: I love doing the meme's and your Watery Wednesday is a great one, but sometimes I already have a post planned in my head or just forget!
