SkyWatch Friday.....

It's SkyWatch Friday time! The sky here was full of spring yesterday. This is looking out at our pond. A couple of Canada Geese have stopped and will probably stay to nest.
The Maple tree is in bud and these two blackbirds were sitting at the top enjoying Spring!

We took a walk at the wetlands and I found this tree in the woods in full bloom. Beautiful!

I love the blossoms. Not sure what it is.

The male cardinal sat high in the sky looking beautiful for all the females that might be around.

This Goldfinch was eating the flowers in the tree. Some just don't appreciate beauty and would rather fill their bellies :-)
An empty nest.
A Sycamore with it's lovely white branches and lots of "balls" hanging in the sky like decorations.
That's my sky......heading into spring....at least I hope so!

Thanks to Klaus, Fishing Guy, Wren, Sandy, Ivar, and Louise and anyone else who helps host SkyWatch!

Great shots! I love the first one with the criss cross clouds in the sky.

Wow, seeing these shots is making me jealous. It's the first day of spring but it was 20 degrees this morning.

Joan: They were very pretty blossoms. I liked the pink in them.

Eve: It's great to see it coming, if we don't get a frost.

Kallen: I had to lighten the sky a little too much in that one, to get everything else to show up.

John: Hang in there! it will get to Maine eventually!

Beautiful spring photos, Mary. I miss the spring flowers of the north. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful pictures of spring. The close-up of the fruit tree flower is excellent!!

Ruth: Thanks!

Pam: Thanks!

Louise: I kept wondering which fruit tree it was. I don't recall seeing any with pink in the middle before. I figured it was a pear or plum being so early and very out of place in this woods.

Beautiful, Mary. I love that first picture. Seeing all of the green grassy areas around the pond made me smile. And of course I love all of the birds.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. It's quite cool here today.
Hugs,
Betsy

Thank you everyone! I appreciate your comments, but have trouble answering all of them on SkyWatch day :-)

Kerri: Maybe a Sugar Maple, but I've never been sure what kind of maple that one is. I think all the maples have similar flowers. The leaves on it change color in the fall mostly out on the tips, but not as brightly as a lot of the Sugar Maples that I've seen elsewhere.
