It's Friday.....so what do we all do???
Look up! Look at the sky!
What's up there??
The Red-Bellied sees it......
Spring is springing! I hope this maple tree knows what it's doing. Seems a bit early yet.
Next we drove to Henderson, KY.....
The sky through the bridge on the way across....
Why are we going to Henderson?......
To get to the slough next to the bridges we just crossed.....
....to check on the Eagle's nest. Nobody home today.....wait....
....there he is! Way out there in the trees!
Mike took this photo but was gracious enough to let me use it Be sure to stop by his blog and see another shot of this beautiful bird soaring in the blue skies.
Next we drove to Henderson, KY.....
Why are we going to Henderson?......
(Or did he hear about the eagle in the area and thought he'd better keep his eyes open before he became someone's dinner)
Look up!
What's in your sky?

Oh this was such a fun post! Love all your sky pictures, thanks for sharing them. Happy Skywatching and keep looking up!
Fun sky pictures for the morning! Love the bridge and eagle photos
How Cool Mary. I'll say it again, you need to write a childrens book. You have great stories.
I'm waiting for our Eagles to return. They had been here most of the winter till the creek froze, and I haven't seen them in a few weeks.

Wow ... That bridge scene was worth the whole trip to Henderson!
LOL, Mary - that was as good as many a commercial I've seen on the TV. Squirrel (is that star?) just too cute.
Did you get excited seeing the eagle! That is such a great shot...I have a soft spot for eagles. And I love the one looking through the bridge!
Mary: That is one special SWF with all your views and then a neat look at the Eagle on wing. Thanks so much for all you shared my friend.
What a lovely series of photos, thanks Mary. Great SWF post.
Fantastic Mary - a great post with wonderful pictures and captions. A x
You have some fantastic sky watch photos
All of the critters are enjoying the sky watch, aren't they?? My red-bellied always seems to be looking up!!!!
Great shot of the sky from the bridge to Henderson...
Have a great weekend.

Betsy
A great collection of uplooking individuals. Love that uplooking squirrel. Is it Star?
Lovely pictures, but I must say I think the one from the bridge is my favorite.I like different angles like that.
Blessings,Ruth
Great SW series Mary....It is 60 degrees here near Buffalo, but it won't last...Michelle

Thank you everyone!
Katney: Well, in all truth, I call all my squirrels "Star" and have no idea which one that particular one is. There were 3 out there playing around. This particular one will be in my Squirrel Sunday this week.
You (and Mike) got some great pictures of the eagle. This is a great sky watch post.
Beautiful Mary. What is the difference between a groundhog and a gopher?
So spring is in the air is it? It seems like nature knows more than we do and I trust it to tell me these things. :)
George: Thanks! Mike is actually a better photographer then I am :-) I'm not good at air shots.
Joan: Hmmm...A grounhog and a woodchuck are the same thing. A gopher is more like a prairie dog, I think...really don't know. I imagine they are all related and all marmots of some sort? Will have to research this. I have better photos of him that I will probably post on Monday. I have a lot of photos of stuff right now to post! I'm not sure I trust spring yet, but that tree is sure budding out.
I love this post Mary and Mike!! So glad you got to see the Eagle too! I'm going to look up today for sure!!
Eve: I bet you look up every day...and with a smile on your face :-)
