Red...yellow....blue....

It was a colorful day and I had a lot of willing posers for a change. A pair of nice red Cardinals. There were about 3 females for each male.....should prove interesting for mating!
A Goldfinch with his mouthful! Looks like black starting to show on his forehead? Seems a little early yet for molting, but maybe they know something I don't.

"Are you talking about me?"

This feeder was busy constantly.
Mrs. House Sparrow....I don't often show her and she was sitting still for once.

A nice Blue Jay stopped by to steal some seeds.
Ummmm.....not sure what this pose means....but it is not his most attractive side.
Chickadee really hanging low to get a better grab at a seed. Time to refill the feeder!

He found this one a little easier.
I believe this is the Hairy peeking out at me from behind the suet.
Mr. and Mrs. House Finch having a chance at this feeder.
It was a busy and colorful afternoon.

A wonderful selection of birds at your feeder! I do love chikadees.
Sometimes itoo would like a bird feeder, but here it is not recommended since there is year round food available for the in nature.

Great images Mary, the Hairy Woodpecker is really good.

Kallen: It was nice to see so many out there. Things have been a bit sparse lately.

Arija: Thanks..Go ahead and get a feeder! The birds will still eat mostly food in the wild. It won't spoil them. The feeder is just a supliment and to bring us some close photos and a lot of entertainment :-)

Roy: It was good seeing him, but he wouldn't come out from behind the limb and the suet. I was lucky to get even one eye!

You did have lots of color. Isn't it nice we have that color instead of all brown birds. LOL. The Canada geese are coming back now. More by the day, and the noise level is growing.
Warmer today.

I laughed heartily at that goldfinch looking at you asking if you were talking about him! I know that is what he was thinking! Great photos today!

Mary: Wow; what a great set of bird photos. The cold weather made the birds scarse again. I wonder where they hide when the twmps are in the single didgets. We are getting warmer for a few days.

You got some great pictures yesterday. I'm glad all your visitors posed so nicely for you.

Becky: I do like a bit of variety and it is a little warmer right now. Hope it lasts!

Shelley: I like trying to think of what the birds are thinking...I notice that you do too :-) Probably all he is really thinking is "where is the next seed?"

Fishing Guy:I don't know, but sometimes they just seem to disappear, don't they?

Ruth: Thanks! Nice to see cheerful colors! I'm ready for spring.

George: If only they always posed so nicely.

You do have such colourful birds over there Mary, I really like the Goldfinch ones and yes they do appear to be moulting into their spring wear.

Mary, GREAT pictures!!! You had alot of different birds at your feeders and got some great pictures... I may have told you that our trillion Pine Siskins have done a good job of running all of my fav's off-- ALMOST. I am ready for these siskins to move ON--away from here.

Hugs,
Betsy

Connie: Thanks!

Jenny: I love when the black heads begin to appear even though it makes them look very "ratty" for awhile.

Leedra: I've actually had a bit of sunshine for a couple days and warmer temps.

Betsy:Thanks! Don't you hate it when one particular type hogs it all? There seem to be flocks of different kinds that pass through in waves. I'm sure your siskins will move on soon.

Annie: Buds this early worry me...we will get a last freeze sooner or later.

Joan: Thanks! The Hairy would not come out from behind the tree trunk, but at least he gave me one eye :-)

Sandy: I'm ready for spring! Right now!
