(My World post is below this one)
This is how today really looks.....not a lot of snow, but more is on the way today.
The GTI is OK in the snow.....as long as it doesn't get too deep!
I'm swamped with starlings today because of the bad weather, but they did give me one funny shot below.....
"..you put your head in, and you shake it all about!"
Good day for watching the Australian Tennis Open and working jigsaw puzzles.

Those were fun. I'm trying to figure out exactly what went on is that last picture. How did you get that? Does it really have it's head in something or was he just shaking it so fast it looked like that when you snapped? Too funny!
Amazing 'shaking head' photo! :-)
He was shaking it real fast and it looked like this!
Amazing that you caught that last one. I wonder if it was dizzy after that?
I've got a lot of starlings around here too.
That's such a fun starling shot Mary! Hey, I too love jigsaw puzzles, specially scenic ones. What size to you go up to in pieces? Just curious.
The Starling Hokey-pokey is so funny.
Blessings,Ruth
Cute Mary... Love the 'spinning' Starling... You are lucky to get that photo..
Hope your snow doesn't turn to ice. We have rain only today. Thank goodness we have no ICE.
Did you hear on the news today about all of the dead Starlings in New Jersey??? People were finding dead Starlings all over their yard. Don't know what happened--but it may have been caused by a government experiment of some kind. GADS!
Hugs,
Betsy
Rottlady: If he wasn't dizzy, he should have been!
Jenny: I don't like puzzles bigger then 1000 pieces. I prefer the colorful collage type to scenery. Mostly I like lots of color! I plan to post some puzzles in my new blog...maybe tomorrow. I've got some great bird puzzles!
Ruth: I couldn't believe it when I looked at the photo! It was such a weird shot!
Betsy: We have ice forming on the snow....sleety rain falling right now. Should get really bad tonight. My starlings have been chased off by a flock of Cowbirds now! Wouldn't you know in the worst weather, when the seed is getting low and I can't get out that the "bully birds" would show up to deprive my songbirds of their seeds!
Not a lot of snow Mary??
That amount would bring England to a standstill.
What was that starling doing? Stay safe and warm during your storm. It doesn't sound good.

Wow, that Starling pic is one for the odd shots! And that is a lot of snow you have! Enjoy! My yard has been that colour now since December :-(
What a clown your starling is! Made me laugh - funny pic!
Roy: There are cities in the US where this amount brings things to a standstill, too....but not here. Last night was only an inch or two, but several more are coming tonight and the ice is bad. I stay home.
George: Apparently he gave a big head shake just as I snapped the photo. They do a lot of shaking of their feathers and head bobbing.
Leedra: I'll never see that again, I'm sure. One of the times when using autofocus and getting lucky paid off :-)
Ann: I wouldn't mind so much if it was "fluffy" stuff, but we are getting ice with this and that worries me.
Shellmo: Made me laugh, too!
Ok, now you are looking like winter. I see on the radar it's still snowing there.
I LOVE that starling shake shot. What an awesome picture.
I had hundreds of them here too. Would you want a few. I try to scare them away, but you know only one or two come to the feeders. Don't know why.
B.
I'm shaking my head as to how you are able to get such good and entertaining pictures. Love the head shake shot!
BTW we have a new grandson in Indiana as of tonight. We planned to start up there tomorrow...now I'm not sure if we should or not.
Wonder about the roads....
Looks like you have about as much snow as we did when it got dark, but it has been snowing rather steadily for the past two or three hours. We didn't get most of our snow till today.
Mary,
You made me laugh out loud when I read about the hokey-pokey starling. Bwahahaha! Funny photo!
I love the funny one too Mary and your new header!!
Love that last one...FUNNY!
Hope you didn't get too much snow.
Love the hokey pokey Mary!!! Good luck with the weather, hope it's not icy!
Well, with the power surges last night I didn't get around to answering these. Thanks for the comments and we are now covered with ice and snow. Still coming down a bit but the worst is over.
Dorothy: Congrats on the grandson....Delay that trip a day or two if you can! Should all be gone by Saturday.
