I've had to shoot photos with this old GTI lurking in the background for a year or more.....
Finally....
...going....
.....going....
The wrens may be disappointed.....I see them fly under it sometimes and worry they were trying to nest in it. However, I'm not the least bit disappointed to see it gone for good! The other birds have already decided it is a nice new spot for me to throw food for them.....and I can see the birds and squirrels on the maple tree better!
However....bad news on the Jeep. Too expensive to fix...cost more then we paid for it. So, car shopping is in our future for another old Jeep.

Good luck with the car shopping, Mary.
Oh dear!! This turned out to be an expensive holiday time didn't it? But it is always exciting going shopping for something new so enjoy it.
Oh my Mary. I wish you all the luck in the world! We had the very same situation with our conversion van. Cost more than it was worth. Shopping for a new vehicle was something I don't wish on anybody. Maybe you will get lucky. So many high pressure salesmen. Let's hope so. Keep me posted.
B.
Well...we son't be shopping "new". This will be another old Jeep with as few miles as we can get and still afford it.
I'm sure the Wrens will find a new spot and you must be happy not to have to deal with the vehicle in the background.I know the feeling, not a vehicle, but the neighbors OLD garage.Yuk!
Blessings,Ruth
Mary, I'm sorry your jeep cannot be repaired. Hope you find a replacement soon. I'd LOVE to have an old jeep when we are driving through the mountains searching for waterfalls. Our Prius does great--but she's not an old jeep!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Out with the old in with the new I guess. :-)
Ruth: I'm so glad to have this car gone! It hasn't run for more than a year and our son wanted to get rid of it but it just sat there in the background ruining my photos all the time. Good riddance. With the Jeep gone, too the driveway is empty for a change....although I wish the Jeep was back so we didn't have to find a new vehicle.
Betsy: we're looking at some more old ones. They are out there at some cheap prices, but I sure wish we didn't need to spend the money right now. We replaced my car earlier this year and 2 different cars in one year is too many.
2sweetnsaxy: How about "out with the old and in with the old" ? I guess in the long run it will all be better...just an expensive mess to take care of at the moment.
