My skies this week are shining on snow and ice...
A brief moment of sun as it rises.
Very little showing theough the icy trees
Up through the branches.....light.

Beautiful winter sky shots. Love that first shot.
Although I'm not a real fan of living in an ice storm area (mostly due to the inevitable power loss), it is always so beautiful. Your pictures capture the beauty perfectly.
Beautiful, but also in the previous post you have just great birds' pics!
Secret Mom Thoughts: Thanks!
Louise: I don't like ice storms either, but they are lovely when the sunshines. We don't have much sun right now with it, but it should start melting today.
Digital Polaroids: Thanks! The birds are very cold and hungry.
More beautiful snow pictures from Canada. It is just so beautiful. They teased us again today saying we might get some snow today. HA---the sun is shining!!! I think NOT! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Betsy: Canada?? Must be someone else's blog :-) We have some sun today, so I hope it started melting. I keep hearing loud crashes as the ice falls off the house. Very disconcerting!
Great photos...beautiful sky in the first shot...the icy branches are so pretty...love your cedar waxwing on the side bar...
What is the temperature where you are? These snowy branches against the blue sky are beautiful. Sorry you visited me and got more ice, tho my skywatch photo this week was taken between Christmas and New Year. However, snow if forecast for tomorrow...
Beautiful pictures with the snow and ice. But I hope you soon have more sunshine and less snow and ice.
How beautiful. Your home always looks so interesting.
Carol: Thanks!
Lindab: It was in the 20's when the snow and ice came, but it back up to the 30's now and hopefully melting!
George: We have some sun today...melting is on the way!
Annie: Thanks...you should hear when the huge chunks of ice slide off the roof...scary!
Ooooh! I love these shots. Crisp perfect snow. Lovely.
Mary your images look like mine today - snow, snow, and more snow.
You have a much prettier sky in that first one - it's pretty!
I enjoyed the previous post as well. Your dome does icicles well. :)
Awesome bird photos.
More great snow scenes mary
Hopefully it will end soon Mary. Here we have nothing but solid rain. I am looking for a bit of sunshine today.
I just love your home Mary. Sometime I would wish you'd take us on a tour inside? ? ?
B.
Mike: By tomorrow it will be mush and slush and slop.
Carletta: Well, I hope yours is going away soon...ours is suppose to starting tomorrow. We were out tonight and the ice on the trees and powerlines is awful!
Roy: Thanks!
Joan: Thanks....I think I would almost prefer rain at the moment.
Becky: Thanks! I intend to post about the dome in my other blog eventually....if I ever get some photos of when it was built scanned in. I am not a decorator....live very simply...so the inside is not that wonderful. Plus it is now 28 years old and needs lots of things replaced and fixed up, but I will post some photos when I get time to scan those photos. I want to start at the beginning :-)
Wonderful snowy wonderland....great photos Mary.
Love your dome home photo. I clicked to enlarge and see the detail. Very cool!
Great shots but I think I was more captivated by the unique house than the snow. Love it!
:-)
Sandy:Wonderful?....hmmm....
NW Nature Nut: Thanks!
2sweetnsaxy: Thanks! I hope to post about living in a dome in my other blog eventually because people keep asking me about it.
I, too, like seeing the dome home in the middle of the snow. Happy skywatch!
Mary: Neat SWF captures in your cold world.
Wren and Fishing Guy: Thanks!
