It's Skywatch Friday time!
2008 ended with a lot of sky drama around here.
These first 5 shots were all on the same day.
One minute it was intense.....
....the next nice and blue.
Pink in the sunset....
....changing to puple.
January 1, 2009 started off with gloomy skies and deep clouds.

....but late in the afternoon, the blue was coming through and the clouds were nice and fluffy.
I love looking at the sky through trees....the Silver Maple makes a nice one to peer through.

OK, your skies look very much like ours the past few days, BUT where is the snow?
The weather can change so fast! Right now it's snowing again with a really fine snow, then tomorrow it's supposed to warm up and rain! Sure wish it would make up it's mind to stay with winter.
Have a great day.
B.
What a great series of shots! I love them all. Happy New Year and hope you have many good days watching the skies!
Becky: We just don't get a lot of snow. You must live in the spot that gets the most snow of anywhere!
Rottlady: Thanks! We've had a lot of changing skies lately.
Looking at these is like living a whole day in a few seconds!
Watching the changing sky is better than watching TV!
Linda: But colder at times :-) Thanks!
Great pictures of the sky, Mary--and the moon! You have captured the very reason that sky-watching is so much fun. It's different from one minute to the next. Great Post.
Hugs,
Betsy
Great series, I feel so lazy now, I only put up one;)
Wonderful series...yesterday's sunset was fabulous up here.
Beautiful series of skywatch pictures!!! Thanks!
Mary: What a wonderful selection of skies you have shared. The skies are continually cahnging and you showed them well.
Oh how I hope this is a metaphor for the year to come! Let's work to leave behind the clouds and revel in the return of blue skies.
Oh, wow, such contrast from one picture to another. The skies are always changing and I love watching these changes.
Blessings,Ruth

That was some great sky drama! I love that first one - just something about the trees and that dramatic sky.

What a dramatic way to end the year! Thanks for sharing these with SWF.
All beautifull pictures, but oddly, the second last one is closest to my heart.
Only just discovered your blog and am enchanted with the access you have to so many birds!, and squirrels... I love 'em all.
