Squirrel Sunday.....

YOU DID WHAT???????????Oh, oh.......I was trying to explain to my temperamental "Star" about these really cute little squirrels I found in Iowa.....

What could be cuter than squirrels with real grass for tails???? (this photo is at the store where I bought them)

So, of course I had to give two of them a home! Look at that.....they even have their own food with them!.........

.....unlike SOMEONE that I could mention who eats more than his weight in food every day!

He'll just have to get over it. I think they need names.
Any suggestions??
Be sure to check out Anne's squirrels in Norway, too!
If anyone else wants to join in on Squirrel Sunday, feel free to do so....I just don't want to become responsible for one of those Mr. Linky things! I'm not that organized.

How adorable are they? I think your little star will forgive you for adding to your beautiful collection. Have a great week ahead.

Oh no, sibling rivalry is the most difficult to overcome. But on the other hand what sweet little additions to your squirrel family!!
Happy Squirrel Sunday!

Oh no!! I am sure Star was not at all pleased with you. Imagine finding yourself out of favor and upsurped by something which has a grass tail!! No, no, no!! Horrors!! LOL!

Really cute..

I'm not sure what the "life expectancy" of these little grass tailed squirrels are, but at least I can thumb my nose at the Star with them for a while :-)

Stella and Astro. But then, Star might figure out that those both mean star.

All our squirrel does is bounce back and forth to the feeder hauling off seeds to stash. No cute poses there ... its all business!

Katney: Very clever!

Cicero: Mine don't bother carrying anything off....they eat right where they find it! Mine hasn't been very cute lately either.

Cute, I take it you're a squirrel collector.

Love the squirrels! Good luck on the names...maybe Missy for the girl after Miscanthus, which is probably the grass they are made from...just a guess. Love the gourd too!

Mary: What a neat mixture of squirrels.

Thanks everyone for nice comments on my rather "lame" squirrel post. And no....I am not a colletor (I hope!). I discovered a long time ago that this is how "collections" seem to begin....they sneak up on you! You buy one of something and suddenly your house is full of them, because other people give them to you! I think I will stop at these 2 and my live squirrels :-)

Eve: I can't believe you could tell what grass! wow! I figure in a year or two they will be very sad looking or worse if my cats find them!

JB: At least these two show up, which is more than my real squirrel has been doing lately :-) He only comes as far as the ash tree and the big suet/seed cage there. Just can't get any good shots of him lately.
