An interlude: Hopey in the sunlight....

I don't very often post my cats, but Hopey looked so sweet sleeping in the sunlight that I can't resist.
She has a favorite window in my sewing room that is at floor level, and a box with an old towel on top of it. In the cold months, she curls up there in the sunlight all morning.

Aw, so cute. I don't have any inside cats, but the outside ones are forever looking for a sunny spot to snooze.

She's adorable. Kitties always find a patch of sunlight for their nap.

What a sweetie! Hopefully I'll have a little sun today and will join Hopey in the basking!

Mary: It looks like Hopey is saying "What do you think your doing Mom?".

Thank you everyone. I don't get a lot of good shots of Hopey. I have 3 cats and she is my favorite. She was the runt of an abandoned litter that my daughter rescued and I always see her as the "baby" even though she is now 14 years old! Her fur is as soft as a rabbit. She's scared of her own shadow and anything else that makes a sudden movement. But she loves to curl up on a quilt in my lap. I'm definitely "Mom".

She's lovely. Reminds me a little of my own Miss Bee. I always enjoy seeing and reading about peoples cats.

This must be a cat day! I just came from Shelley's blog, and there was her cat.

Cat's lead the best lives.

Mary - I gather the seeds from the morning glory and dry them. Interesting thing is when you plant them next spring (I start them indoors in April), you get a few blue blooms here and there. The rest of the blooms are glorious varied colors of white, blue, pink and purple. As spectacular as the blue ones are (which you have to buy the seeds) the mix is just gorgeous.
(I'll also buy one morning glory as I just love the blue as well.) Happy to share the seed bounty. Send my your snail mail address and I'll send you some seeds.

Your cat looks so beautiful, and warm and cozy, that it makes me yearn for the ones we once had. The kids left home and the cats grew old and passed on and there are some in our family with cat allergies so we chose to not have any more. But I miss them and can understand why you posted this beautiful picture.

There is just nothing like a cat asleep in a room or shop!

Helen: Every day is a cat day...just ask them! Saw a bluebird today and thought of you!

Annie: Thanks for the offer and will email you later! I hope I can make them grow!

Joan: Wouldn't it be nice to be a cat? sleep, eat, sleep, watch birds, sleep

Ann: I undertand completely! I've always had cats and would hate to be without one, but will probably not replace the 3 I have as they die. Mouse, unfortunately, will live the longest and has a personality that just might cure me of wanting more :-) Mike's sister is very allergic and I feel guilty that she can't come to my house.

Rose: I love cats in shops and bookstores! They always look so perfect there...mabye sleeping in a window.
