Turkey babes.........

I didn't get a great focus on these, but we saw these two cute little baby turkeys following mom across a yard. I was shooting through the car window and they were moving fast once they knew I saw them and stopped.Mom and her twins
Hurry into the grass!

She can't see us here!

To see them at all is wonderful! Any picture at all is a bonus.

I love the way that Mom is walking in that first photo with her toes pointed forward. Very proper looking!

It's just great that you were able to get a picure of these babies. Most of us will never see them for ourselves. Thanks!

We have them around here. I managed to grab the video camera.
Wild Turkeys in My Muskoka

The irony was that it was Thanksgiving Day! They are a hoot, aren't they?!

Wow Mary, they are extremely cute. I also have never seen a young turkey this brand new.

Oh, lucky you. I've never even seen baby turkeys, let alone gotten photos of them.

We stopped in the road at first when we saw the mother and then when we saw the babies, Mike pulled into someone's driveway, but it was all pretty quick. I've never seen baby turkeys before...just the adults. They looked so cute hurrying along behind mom. I agree with Jenny...her strut was very "proper" and queenly. Maybe she was trying to set a good example for the babies :-)

Jenn Jilks: Thanks for stopping by and that is a good turkey video.

They are so cute Mary and not at all as ugly as mom yet. :)

I've seen Turkey babies before, and they really do move fast. You were very lucky to catch them in the open.

I love the last shot, like the babes in the woods.

That's the first time I've seen turkey babies. How cute! Mom looks prim and proper.

Mary: What a neat capture, that turkey is pretty brave to bring the babies out in the open.
