Oh, those squirrels, they are just so funny. I'm wondering how he can get the seeds out of that feeder?
One time we spent a week in Florida at a campground. I put up a plastic bird feeder. We went away one day, and when we returned a squirrel had completely destroyed the feeder. Chewed off all the perches, chewed through the feeder itself, and of course ate all the seed.
Great photos showing if there is a will there is a way. I love those squirrels, they are nature's comedians. Loved the other photos below.
What a hoot! You gotta love them for their antics ... the contortions they go through to conquer those feeders.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I've never understood why some backyard bird watchers beat their heads against the impossibility of keeping squirrels out of feeders instead of just enjoying the show.
Always nice to get to know another squirrel lover.

Thanks everyone! These were from last year and I find that squirrels will work very hard for their food :-) I feel more than happy to reward them for their efforts.
Becky: I don't know how they get the seeds out of these wire feeders but they manage...sharp little teeth, I guess that grab hold of whatever sticks out.
Jenny: They are Fox Squirrels. This is the only type that I see a lot of where I live.

Looks like my feeders at the moment, squirrels and wood pigeons are eating me out of house and home, can't keep up with them.
It amazes me the postions they get into just for a bite! The racoons have gotten a hold of mine and the damage it's done is unbelievable! Repairs a must!

Mike: My squirrels have been hiding....must have lots of natural food at the moment. These pictures were from last year. They will start coming back more as the weather turns into Fall.
Naturegirl: Yes....I like squirrels, but the raccoons are a horrible nuisance. I haven't had any recently, but they have torn up feeders, stolen entire cakes of suet, and tromped all over my plants on many occasions.
