Wren at work...

I've been entertained the last couple of days by the Carolina Wren. It is convinced that if it keeps looking in these pine cones, some more peanut butter or suet will appear. It was really looking over this one out front in case it had missed some tiny morsel.
"Maybe if I close my eyes"

"OK....how about with eyes open?"

"I give up!"

Just hanging around

Fluffed up and cold in the wind.

"Hmmm....how about under here??"
I think he might have spent more calories then he gained in all this work!

I love this very vocal little bird! He may be telling you to get busy and make some more peanut butter pine cones for him!!!
