I don't usually do my "birding" at Rural King, but how could I not take photos of these adorable baby chicks!
There were 4-5 different kinds....didn't write down the names.
My favorites are these little striped ones with the dark backs....soooooo cute!
If the colors don't seem right on some of these ........
....it is because I had to take photos that looked like this.......
......and try to make them look more like this!
This group were the funniest.....they would all huddle on one end and then suddenly run to the other end.
A great variety of colors
Sometimes the best I could do with the photos is a sort of sepia look. I'm sure if I was intelligent, I would know a better way to fix these photos!

Talk about reviving old memories....You brought back some with this post!! When I was a child, Daddy raised baby chicks to sell. We had about 4 or 5 incubators where we hatched the eggs. Every night we had to go out and turn the eggs over. People came from all around to buy these baby chicks for the hundreds! Thanks for posting this.

You brought back lots of memories. When I was a kid my Dad would bring home a box of chicks like these and we would have to keep them warm under lights as shown in your pictures.
They are just SO cute Mary!! I would have taken them all home with me. :)
Oh, Mary, there are not many things that are cuter than a baby chick. These are adorable.
