Not much to offer....

I'm having a lot of pain in one knee at the moment and am not getting out to walk and take photos. These are just a few shots from home, so you will know that I'm still alive....if not kicking :-) I may not post much in the next few days. I can see the railing from my chair and can shoot a few shots if the light is right. This young female cardinal is hanging around and not as "spooky" as the older cardinals.
I think she was having balancing problems :-)

Could only see part of this one....I think it is one of my bald ones that is getting his new head feathers....thankfully!

The other night the little "stinkers" were out front again. This is the one with the most white.....

.....and here is the mostly black one. What a difference in the two! That leaf shadow makes it look a bit confusing :-)

Too bad about the knee acting up and at such a pretty time of year! Do hope it improves. Knees are tricky!!

Those two skunks really ARE different. Wow.

Hi Mary, like everyone else, I'm sorry to hear that your knee is playing up. How very selfish of it! I hope it improves soon so that you can get out and about again. Those skunks are amazing looking creatures. We don't have them over here.

Well, I tried to leave a comment, but it didn't go through. I'll try again.
I read recently about Cardinals having mites, and lose their head and neck feathers. Not to worry, they will get the feathers back.
Love the white skunk! So pretty.
Take care of that knee.

Mary, I'm so sorry about your knee! It's sure no fun being in pain! Take care and put your feet up and rest. Maybe with cooler weather coming, we will all feel better. The white skunk would be a pretty pet if you had his scent glands removed! I thought the leaf shadow was the tail of the black skunk!!! Take care and have a restful weekend.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. As long as I stay off my feet the knee feels pretty good. I get shots next week and hope to be back to "normal" again for a while.

...love your little baby cardinal. She is so sweet. I hope the paint in your knee goes away. I have arthritis in my left knee and for a while it really hurt and I had to stop walking. Joint pain is such a...pain!

Hope your knee is better, I did not realize there could such a difference in skunks markings. Great shots.

Sorry to hear about your knee.

That mostly-white skunk is very beautiful - thanks for sharing!

Wow...there is a big difference in the skunks, isn't there. That one with most white looks like his coat is so luxurious!
