I call him "Squirrel Little".........he just showed up this week. Isn't he cute?
I've never seen one with such a short tail, so I thought it might be a young squirrel. I never see them when they are obviously babies, so I really don't know what young ones look like.

He loves the railing and I have to make sure the cats aren't around. I never worry about them catching a big squirrel (who laugh at them), but I don't know about this little guy.

He scampers off pretty fast if he sees me watching him.

For all of you that visit Mary's blog regularly. You should offer her sympathy today for putting up with me for 38 years.

That squirrel is so cute. It must be a baby, all legs.

What a cute squirrel. His feet are so far apart, funny how he stands.

P.S. Happy Anniversary, Mary!
Happy happy anniversary you two! And here's to many many more happy years together. Congratulations!
First thing I thought of when I saw that little squirrel was Stumpy. Stumpy must have had part of his tail lopped off some way or other. Or maybe he is a baby and baby squirrels have short tails? Don't know!
Mike: Sneaky! They've been 38 great years! Let's keep going as long as we can :-)
Becky:Thank you! I thought it looked like a baby and what big feet he has!
JB: Thanks! I thought his stance looked like the way a little boy would stand :-)
Annie: Thanks! I like Stumpy :-) Sounds like one of the 7 dwarfs. His tail doesn't look injured, but who knows.
Awww!
Mary, you have my deepest sympathy!! LOL!! My goodness woman, how have you managed to put up with him for so long?? LOL!! JUST KIDDING!!
Congratulations to both of you!! It is wonderful to know that people still stay together for so long. I wish you many, many more happy years together!!
This is the cutest squirrel!! Don't you want to send him to me!! LOL!! Lovely pictures Mary.
Cute photos, you can tell its an adolescent with its long gangly legs.
Joan: Thanks! He's been pretty easy to put up with for all these years :-) I'm very fortunate. Wish I could send you a squirrel, but this one is just too cute to give away.
John: He did appear to be all legs and big feet!.....but very little tail!
Your anniversay yesterday? Mine is today; all of 42 years! Congratulations to both of us :-)
I should have checked your blog yesterday for I wondered about Squirrel Sunday and if you posted a 'cute squirrel' for it is that.
Your question about the adult spider: here is the url to one I had posted last August. I also mentioned it in reply to your question on my blog.

I am running late today and must hurry out for my walk in the meadow before it gets too hot.
Ann...congratulations! How nice that we almost have our anniversaries in common :-) I think I'll head out early today and try to get in a walk and something interesting to post for a change.
Happy Anniversary, Mary and Mike! I'm sorry I wasn't here yesterday to say it. I wasn't on the computer at all.
I love your little squirrels with the orange tummies. So cute!
How adorable he looks. Great shot.
I have so many baby squirrels in my yard right now that I can't keep enough seed for the birds.

Sandpiper: Thanks! I love them, too.
Sandy: They do eat a lot! My cats are determined to "save our house" from this little squirrel, and I have to make them stay inside so he can come eat! They lie in the shade under the steps of the deck waiting and lurking.
congratulations on your anniversary!
And yes, he (the squirrel) is cute :D
