This bird quilt was one of my favorites and there are some close-ups in my Shutterfly albums. Taking pictures of quilts with ropes to keep you out of touching distance and 100's of other people trying to look at them and take pictures is hard, so some of my close-up's did not get fully focused. I wish that I could have stayed more than one day to really study each quilt! They are truly amazing works of art. The stories behind some of them are even more fascinating! They make wonderful desktop wallpapers if they are in the horizontal position :-)

Wow! These are GORGEOUS quilts! Some people are so creative and talented.
i love the way the the two birds (especially the killdeer) is next to the bird quilt. Matter of fact, the killdeer looks like she flew right out of that quilt.
I agree with Sandpiper - some people's talent know no bounds!
WOW IS RIGHT!! When I have more time I'm going to come back again and look closer and go through the shutterfly photos. These are fantastic!!!

Sandpiper: It's really humbling to look at such beautiful creations. I'd give the "Best of Show" to all of them!
Annie: I hadn't noticed that about the birds :-) One of the quilts did have a killdeer on it. I really love the nature quilts, but all of them are beautiful There was one that featured the Braille alphabet....and it was fascinating!
Sandy: By all means check out more of them in the albums. I wish everyone could go to a really good quilt show....it is so amazing. I like to use the photos as desktop pictures and change them all the time and study them. I have that tiger on my desktop right now :-)
The bird quilt looks very beautiful, as are all the others. This is such an inspiring post; it makes me want to get out my sewing machine and fabric.
Me and My Camera: I know..I feel the same way! I have bought several books of patterns for birds on quilts but haven't tried them yet. I haven't done much applique. I'm taking a class this next month and maybe it will give me some confidence. Some of the pattens are paper-piecing, which is not that hard. I have a lot of nature ideas....I would like to put some on bags, rather than quilts. If you were an art teacher, I'm sure you would be a wonderful quilter!
What absolutely amazing quilts! My mom loves them.

JB: Welcome back. Glad you enjoyed them and be sure to tell her to look at the ones in the albums I posted. Tell Jelly Bean that there were a couple of cat quilts :-)
Went to Shutterfly and enjoyed all the quilts. I could never say that "such and such is my favorite"...they are all beautiful.
thanks.

Sandy: You have perseverence to look at them all :-) I couldn't pick a favorite this year, either. When you have so many different things, how do you compare them? It's like picking out a favorite bird or flower! Too many choices!
