I'm still finding our little "herd" of squirrels (what's the group name for squirrels?) very entertaining when they come out to chase each day.
"Let's go the other way for awhile....I'm getting dizzy!"
I wondered if this was a male chasing a female. The top one is fluffier and more orange. The bottom one was paler in color and a thinner tail.
"Caught you!"
This is typical of how they just seem to "pour" out of the trees from all directions and race around so fast, I can't keep up with them! Unfortunately I am shorter than the bushes that grow next to the deck and I was afraid to try to go down in the yard, so there is a lot of irritating bits in the way.

Its that time of year Mary, when squirrels go a bit crazy.

Mary, you are so lucky to have all these cute squirrels close enough to watch like that. So cute!
'Scurry' and 'Dray' seem to be collective nouns for squirrels ... terrific photos, Mary. happy new year!
Hi Mary...looks like things are a little squirrely there!! : }
I found the 3 tails after a bit... to funny!!
Cute post. Those squirrels can sure carry on in the nost dizzying of ways!
Gotta love those squirrels Mary. They must provide lots of enertainment. I just have the same old, same old neighborhood group of birds here. Nothing new.
It's me again. I didn't have the sound on when I watched your video, but after listening to it, you must have had the Rose Parade on the TV. Perfect music for the squirrel run around.
B..
Thanks everyone...they are a riot to watch!
Caroline: thanks for the information. Their homes are called Dreys, so that explaines one of those, but I like a Scurry of Squirrels :-) Cute!
Becky: Yep....I was hoping no one would hear the parade :-) I had left the door open briefly to take that.
Gee--they are having such a good time, Mary.... I keep telling mine that they need to move to your area. You got some great pictures and video...
Hugs,
Betsy
The squirrels around our house are acting just as crazy.
A grand series of photos of squirrels at play. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River.
