Our neighbors on the far side of the pond, are selling their house and last Sunday they had an open house......
You can see that there are several cars there and people were milling around in and out.
Someone forgot to tell the Great Blue Heron about the open house and his fishing was interrupted by all these strange people! He was right in front of their yard when Mike first saw him.
He flew over to our side of the pond, but kept a wary eye on the activity. He must have been hungry to hang around.
It is very shallow at this point and he did a little looking but the people being there really bothered him.

Love that first picture!! Reflections.....you know I like any picture with reflections!
The first picture is very pretty.I sure hope that heron got to eat before the end of the day.
Blessings,Ruth
Your neighbors could use your first picture as advertisement to sell their house. This is a gorgeous picture of the pond with the reflections. I certainly hope that poor heron got something to eat.
Dorothy: I love reflections, too.
Ruth: I don't know if the heron got food eventually or not, but he's been around before. He just chose a very poor day to come last Sunday:-)
George: It's a very nice house and lot nestled back next to the woods. I hope a nature lover buys it.
You certainly live in a gorgeous area, Mary. Love that pond!!!! The heron seems right at home!!!
Hope your neighbors sell their house!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
