Just some of the "home birds"

This Blue Jay seemed to be studying the situation, but not eating.

I need one of those programs that removes unwanted twigs from photos.

This photo makes me laugh.....but I haven't figured this little guy out yet. He is the only Goldfinch out there that is still in summer color, fat and fluffed up. Is he molting? Is he ill? He looks a bit of both. Is he a late baby?

He seems to eat, but he doesn't look very good.

Looks pretty scruffy here!

I know I've shown a lot of Titmice, but they are out there constantly.

I watched three of them stealing seeds from this feeder and the railing for about an hour :-)

Mr. Cardinal got in there occasionally, too.

Downy with his mouth open.

Red-Bellied sort of scrunched down....ready to leap upwards, I think.

and the Chickadees are always there with the Titmice.
Not exciting perhaps, but I wouldn't trade my regular home birds for anything.

I am struck by the variety of colrs here Mary. A wonderful selection.
HI MARY! I'm behind on my blogs. That poor little Goldfinch, he really is a mess! You know you and I have common birds at our feeders now that I live in the south. I just haven't gotten the Red-bellied Woodpecker to come to my feeder. What do they like most?
Great photos!
Beautiful birds, Mary! The Goldfinch looks like a late baby that is sick, molting and cold!!!
I should not worry about twigs Mary the picture is real and more lifelike, all are nice shots of birds we do not have here in Egypt.
Never seen a blue Jay, not sure if there are any in the uk.
We have the same variety of birds at our house, but I haven't gotten the wonderful pictures you've gotten. Fortunately we haven't had a scruffy-looking goldfinch.
I think any bird is exciting.Keep on showing your regulars, because they are somewhat different than my regulars.Have a great day.
Blessings,Ruth
Hi Mary, Your goldfinch may be sick... I don't know though...
Love seeing your birds since they are so similar to ours.
I did see several Bluebirds at the feeders today--but didn't get a picture. Darn!!!!
Hope you are having a great day. The rains all missed us. Guess we'll have to water the Pansies. Darn.
Hugs,
Betsy
I never get tired of the home gang! I've got the same birds, and they keep me entertained every day.
I love those Titmice. I've taken so many pictures of them too.
I see by the radar your weather is a bit iffy?
Have a great rest of the week.
B.
Thanks for the nice comments! I would say that most people who read my blog here in the states see the same birds I do. Most of us are in the Eastern US. We may get them at a slightly different time, but not much.
Mary, what a nice collection. Your little goldfinch seems not to have attained full plumage, I hope he is only cold and not sick.
Lovely shots Mary.
Great photos...I was thinking the goldfinch might be a late baby. If you figure it out, be sure and tell about it.
Mary: What a great mixture of the common birds of your area.
