Our snow disappeared almost as quickly as it came. The day began covered in white, but by mid-day, it was pretty much gone. However the wind was really blowing early and the birds took on a very "ruffled" look as they visited the feeders!
I don't usually have two Titmice on the same feeder...I actually saw 3 out there at one time today. You can sure tell who is on the windy side :-)
Titmouse having a "bad hair day" in the wind....straight up!
The cardinal caught the wind with his tail....doing an imitation of a wren?
Mrs. Cardinal took the "close your eyes and hunch down into your shoulders approach".
.....And of course we have the "wren ruffle"
The Grackle didn't get ruffled, but really enjoyed the puddles left from the melting snow to drink!

Great photos Mary, those Titmice are lovely looking. Mike.
Thanks, again! The Titmouse was really cute, the way his topknot would fly up in the air. He's such a little bird to fight the wind :-)
oh my
What fun pictures and comments *lol*
Thanks Mosefruen!
Wonderful pictures! I can almost feel the wind blowing from here. Brrrrr ;-)
Hello Sandpiper! Thanks for the nice words.
Love the titmice!
Thanks Kingsdowner! They really did look funny when the feathers kept being blown upwards :-)
