It's SkyWatch Friday!
How does your sky look today?
Mine is blue with a few wisps of clouds.....spring is coming?
Our temperatures started the week in the 20's and are quickly heading upward to the 40's!
Blue skies and the hope that winter in southern Indiana is ending!

"Do I drop down for the yummy looking seeds or do I fly away?"
Cardinals are always looking over their shoulder and everywhere else for the slightest movement.....then it's time to fly away!
They are usually on the ground feeding, if there is no danger.
The Red-breasted Nuthatch may steal the title of "Peanut Thief" from the Blue Jay :-)
The White-breasted Nuthatch doesn't show much interest in the peanuts. Have you ever watched one at the feeder, when they take their bill and start throwing stuff out, right and left, until the find "just the right seed"? Picky!

You get the BEST bird shots!
Annie: LOL! Thanks...when they are about 3' away outside the window, it is hard not to get a good shot.
Hi mary...love your clouds in you sky photo, very interesting pattern!!
Your sure have a gang of feathered friends there!!
I haven't seen a Mockingbird this winter...I usually see a few but I think it has been to harsh a winter for them with all the snow covering alot of the berries and rosehips they like!!
Very nice photo's Mary!!

Although your bird pictures are as wonderful as ever, I really like your blue skies. I hope we have many more of them in the future.
Hi Mary, YES---we have blue skies also today... Amazing... AND--it's going to be warmer this next week. Spring??????
Love your bird pictures. Our White Breasted Nuthatches love the peanuts I put out... (We don't have the red-breasted ones.)
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
Whenever I see photos such as these, I can almost see the personality of each little bird. Beautiful captures Mary.
...you're lucky to have that red-breasted nuthatch at your feeder! I've also seen that picky behavior at our feeders by the white-breasted nuthatches!
You have some great looking Sky pictures as well as Super bird pictures, Mary!!!
Your sky looks unreal, as though someone had slapped it on with a big brush. That first shot is, dare I say . . . HEAVEN.
You do have a profusion of birds. I am almost green with envy with just the magpies and blackbirds robbing me of my grapes.
Wish I could get half the shots you do!!!
