Home birds....

A few visitors dropped by while I was watching this week. It's so good to see my Downy's out there, but with that hawk hanging around, everyone is nervous.
He was really digging into this hunk of suet cake to get just the right seed.

That's the one!

The Carolina Wren is back and is another drinker that prefers the little cups hanging on the tree. It's a nuisance to keep them filled, but the little birds really like them.

Enjoying the sunshine....a Goldfinch.

Great shots, Mary. I don't see the Downys here, but have the Carolina wrens back and soon we will have lots of Goldfinch. Have a great week!

Hi Mary..I have watching at lot of birds at the feeder today including the woodpeckers,Titmouse,Juncos,Goldfinches Nuthatches,Chickadees and the mourning Doves!
It is a lousy drizzly day here!!

Hope your hawk finds a different hunting ground!!

Lovely shots of the Downy Mary. It is very similar to our Great Spotted Woodpecker except no red markings.
