I had to stop by for my squirrel Sunday fix. Poor baby, he might have to fend for himself for a few days. Do you have just this one squirrel? He is so cute and seems to love to pose for you.
Well, I had to go to the archives for this one and this may very well be a "composite" squirrel. They all look much alike except for a few very obvious male/female photos I have. I usually have a steady population of 3-4. Having not been home for the last few days, I have no idea what my squirrels have been up to, but I'm sure it was "no good" :-) My son does not feel my birds or squirrels for me....only the cats, so I'm sure they had to go elsewhere while I was gone....which is good for them.
Oh my, king of the hill, isn't he? I have to agree he looks like a little independent hunting and gathering would be good for him, but he's so cute .....
Thanks everyone for checking in on my squirrels. For those that ask: I have several that come by and these pictures were from last year. They may be the same ones that I have now....they may not be. I think they have fairly long life spans when they stay off the road. They do tend to lie around when they aren't eating and feel safe enough. My cats pay no attention to birds, but when the squirrels come, they would LOVE to go out and play with them!
I've been lifted up on Your wings of love, Raised from the grave of sin and despair, I can soar to the top of Your holy mountain Your wings of grace will carry me there. I will humble myself in Your sight, And bow low to the King of Kings! And wait in joy and hope and peace..... As I'm lifted on grace filled wings. (by Mary Freeman)

Love the first shot, typical lazy squirrel after eating all the bird food.

Take care.
Poor poor squirrely! Got my Sunday dose of squirrels - THANK YOU!!
I love the photos of that squirrel. Is he the same one laying on the railing? He seems to be lounging most of the time.
