Surely these Muscovy Ducks are the origin of the phrase "odd duck"! I can't think of any that are odder.
When I see one, I can never decide if I am fascinated or repulsed by their ugliness.
This one is almost ugly enough to be pretty :-)
Such odd bumps and colors
I decided that this one was a little bit uglier than the other one.
Maybe someone took a duck and a turkey vulture and mated them???? That is how they look to me.
Yes, indeed....Odd ducks, found at a local park, where someone probably dumped them to live!

He actually has pretty colors, but is also very ugly, but some good photo of the oddity! : }}

I am like you--fascinated and repelled all at the same time.
Looks like Turkey Buzzards in Duck-form.... ha ha ... BUT--there truly is beauty in those ducks. I have never seen them before... Wow!!!

They certainly are different, but such beautiful colors. They do look like they have been a little too friendly with the Turkey Buzzards.
odd duck indeed Mary but a true duck its the only species not derived from the mallard. the female is lighter in colour, they are also true americas native duck ,Mexico and Texas,

I think you're on to something with that duck-turkey vulture thingy! Not a pretty duck, that's for sure!
Those ducks are certainly ugly, but interesting just the same. We pass a farm near here that have probably 100 of them in all color combinations, and they run ( waddle) free.
