The "playground bully".....

OK....in this case it is the "turtle log bully", but this guy really cracked me up as I watched the head of the turtle to his right.
"Out of the way, get out of the way. This is my log!"
 "Scoot over....I need more room!"
"Did...you...hear...me????"
"I'm talking to you!"
I guess it's pretty nice to have your own "house" to retreat into when the "bully" shows up!
I still haven't managed to identify what type of turtle the one on the left is.

The one in the middle has an old cracking up shell.
The big one on the right has no markings on its head.  I sure wish I knew more about turtles, but haven't found a good site on-line yet.
Ahhh.......

The story you have behind the photos of the turtle is indeed amusing! That made me smile :D by the way, would you like us to follow each other? Have a great weekend Ms Mary! :)

I count 32 turtles!!!! What a bunch to be in one photo....I am counting the ones on the far log. At first I missed two of those.

Very good, Rose! The far log is hard to count in this photo unless you can blow it way up. And there were others out of sight on other logs :-) You really must come and see my turtles first hand some time.

Those picturs are so great...Each one could have it's own story to tell.

Hi Mary,
I haven't been here in a long while. I was going down my bookmarked blogs and came for a visit. I never see turtles except box turtle. I think it's because they are all there.
I scrolled down and read about your running out of space.
I couldn't find the suggestions others have given you so I'll just say a couple of things. Somebody said a few months back (I had run out of space before the new rates so I'm good for a little while) but anyway supposedly if you join Google Plus you can post what you want. I don't know for sure if that is true. You may know but to start another blog and keep anything you have you'd need a different email address I believe.
Hope things get worked out for you.
You find so many critters. You must stay out all the time. :)

I so enjoy your turtle posts, Mary ... partly because they are such beautiful creatures and we don't have them around here at all. I do hope your Blogger issues are resolving. I'm still frustrated (just a little!) ...

I just love your turtle posts Mary. Love the story! It looks like an Eastern box turtle, but then I don't know turtles very well.
