"Now starring....on the big screen"

Our son found a free download program that allows us to access photos on the computer without wires on the big screen TV, so Mike pulled up one of my photos for me last night! 29 x 41".....how cool is that, to see photos so large and still looking perfect??? Technology is wonderful when you know how to use it. (NOTE: I should have mentioned that this requires having a Sony Playstation and a wireless connection. The program is PS3 Media Server)

A "Ducky" Day....

The ducks were very willing to pose last weekend. On Saturday they were gathered in the shade of the tree, but on Sunday they were in the water and someone was feeding them making photos easy.
I love the green irridescent colors in the black ones!

What a beautiful head! His bill looks like patented leather....well shined.

The light brown ones are beautiful, too, with their soft color.


They have a gorgeous mix of brown feathers.

A little too much light here, but I liked the coy pose :-)

Mixed with them are a young pair of Mallards.

His color looks pretty complete.

The heads don't seem as dark as they should be, but it's getting greener. They were cleaning and preening.

If I twisted my head like that, it would fall off.

She is just as beautiful....you just can't beat their lovely brown feathers.

Serious cleaning, but how nice of him to show his blue feathers for me!

As they twist to clean they start spinning in circles....funny watching them.

Almost done....did I miss any places?

Duck yoga posture. He looks like his eye is rolled back in his head with concentration, but I assume it is the eyelid.

I do love watching ducks no matter what kind they are.

Cabbage, Cresent, Dragon and Damsels....

Is it any wonder that the butterflies like this meadow?? The mixture of flowers right now is very nice, but the tall grasses sure give me problems.

I seldom can get focused on a Cabbage White before it flies away...this one was an exception.

Just to show size more accurately....a Pearl Crescent is much smaller than a Monarch, but when we crop our photos they end up looking the same size.

I like these little Pearl Crescents and they cooperate fairly well for photos.

....see what I mean? A perfect lay out for me to shoot!

This Painted Lady, on the other hand, refused to come out of the tangle so I could get a good shot.

Goldenrod may make some of us sneeze.....achoo!.....but it looks pretty and attracts bugs.

Wasps

I'm not sure what Dragonfly this is.

On the pond, the damselflies were swarming like crazy! I counted at least 12 in the area I was shooting.

I call this one "Still life with Damselfly"

They were laying lots of eggs

Singles and pairs everywhere

I think there are 8 in this photo if you count the mating pairs.
You will be happy to know that I have run out of butterflies from my wetlands walk :-)

Sulphurs....

When I see a Sulphur butterfly I have no idea which one it might be.

I had the feeling I was seeing two types.....two different sizes, but I really can't tell and all the photos look like the same kind. I like seeing them on the purple flowers
I seldom see the inside...this was as close as I got. They don't sit open. At least never in front of me!
Yellow against yellow...couldn't decide if I liked the combo, but it sure makes the purple flowers stand out :-) Lots of light on this one......
.....later I saw some with the light shining through them.

They were dancing and mating all over the place........a pair in the flowers....

....a pair blocking the path....

....the following shots are a pair "courting".

Anyway.......lots of Sulphurs everywhere!
