It's about time! I felt like autumn had passed us by this year. When you look out at large forests of trees you see more dead leaves than color. However, if you go looking you can find some pretty ones mixed in. The Maples have been very slow this year it seems. Yesterday we drove to the lower part of the Hoosier National Forest where it comes down to meet the Ohio River. A friend guided us to places like Lake Celine, Buzzard's Roost, and Eagle's Bluff looking for some color. It's out there.....just scattered among the less colorful already dead ones!
Yellows......
.....green.....
.....mixed.....
....orange.....
....red orange....
.....bronze
.....red....
....reddish purple.....
It's like a color wheel out there right now and it won't last long.

Beautiful shots...I still have not taken hardly any really good shots of fall colors.
Mary, I've been saving this post for a few hours 'till I had sufficient time to really enjoy if. How right I was. I slowly saturated my eyes with the wonders of nature you have captured. They really made my day.
This beautiful colour lasts so short a time, but now with these pictures you have it for years to come. This is part of what I enjoy about photography.
Beautiful Mary!!! The wind is blowing here! You know what that means!!
Pretty, pretty colors Mary. Ours are just about gone except for some yellows. I do wish they would last a little longer.
B.
Each and every picture is beautiful! I just love the colors of Fall foliage!!!
Thanks everyone! Our color has been slow in coming and is disappearing very fast as the leaves fall. I have a whole yard to mulch up when it gets dry enough....beats raking them.
