I couldn't think of a title for this post. It seems like I see the same things on every walk at the wetlands lately. I can't seem to find any new critters or birds or things of interest.
My one new thing. I had to check with www.Bugguide.net to find out what this critter is. A Tiger Bee Fly. I have never seen one before and thought its wings were interesting.
This Red-Spotted Purple Admiral kept landing right in front of my feet. It was either take a photo or step on it.

Hope you harvested the ripe blackberries!
Annie: I would guess that they are pretty sour and left them for the birds :-)
You may see pretty much the same things on your walks, but you still keep getting wonderful pictures. That new fly was very interesting and the picture was just great. I definitely would have sampled the blackberries!
We've got some wild blackberries around here --in our empty lot. I LOVE them... BUT--I can't get out there until I am covered with DEET and wear long-sleeves... Too much poison ivy and chiggers, etc....
That turtle is stretching his neck for some reason.
Love that butterfly in your 2nd picture.
Hugs,
Betsy
The Purple Admiral is quite stunning Mary.
Hi Mary...The purple Admiral is so pretty...the Halloweon Pennant is beautiful..I have never seen one like that before!! The blackberries would be great on my cereal tomorrow morning!!! :}
You might not be seeing many birds Mary, but you're getting some stunning Dragon photos which are a joy to see. I love them all.
The Tiger Bee Fly is new to me too.Very interesting.I always enjoy your dragonflies and butterflies. Each picture is excellent.

Love all your insects. I don't see any of these here.
Still waiting for Butterflies too. Beautiful Mary.

All good photos. Blackberries looking good and wish they were here so I could eat some. Love the turtle.
Cool Tiger Bee Fly Mary and I love the Pennant! That spikey flower looks like Sea Holly. I had that up north. Need some down here...it's deer proof, I think!
I have never seen a Red Spotted Purple Admiral but I sure would love to...he is gorgeous. Love all the dragonflies also.
That beefly is a most interesting critter Mary. Love all the butterflies and dragonflies too.
Mary: Oh so fun capture of all the critters.
