I'm tired of winter....

Gloomy days, spitting snow, cold.....I'm ready for spring!
I think the animals feel the same way I do.
Mr. Cardinal looks very pretty, but I'm sure the constant search for food in the cold gets to be a real drag.
I looked out and saw these two cute squirrels in the same feeder....they aren't usually that chummy!  Dusted in snow.  Not much, but it means it is still cold out there.

The Carolina Wren looks very indignant and wants me to chase the squirrels away and put out something he likes to eat.  There is suet out there....so he really doesn't have anything to complain about!
It's the weather.
Makes us all grumpy!
Maybe it will be warmer by the time I find something else to post.

I'm tired of winter too. It is raining today, on top of the snow ... which will make for slick surfaces when it freezes ... it is to freeze for the next few days. Sigh. Worse than snow is ice!

It has been abnormally cold here in Western Arkansas. My bird feeders have been very busy.

Aw, cute squirrels. Maybe they're finding it tough out there and think, safety in numbers. I think we're all ready for some Springtime! (-:

Hi Mary.. I don't want to see anymore squirrels hahaha.. I chased 6 Gray Squirrels off the porch this morning, I think they ran out of there acorn stash in the back woods!!
Now Cardinals get people around here excited, we don't see a lot of them here like other states do !! I had one this afternoon come into the back yard.. so
exciting : ) Now those squirrels not so lol!!
Your little Wren is precious,go chase those squirrels Mary hahaha!! I will be glad to see then come back for the summer!
Our up coming week is supposed to be warmer days 45 to 50 sounds good to me!!

Mary, I am sure you are ready for spring. We have just moved into autumn and you can smell it in the air, especially in the evenings, although it is still very dry here.
Our birds also have trouble finding food. The worms do not com to the surface in dry ground. I did not cover my grapevines, knowing the birds were getting thinner.

Hope some spring bulbs start popping up their heads to cheer you up.

I guess we all feel the same way. I did see 2 Turkey Vultures soaring up in the sky today, and that is always a good sign, and we finally have some sun.. Love your squirrels!

Yep, I bet you are tired of the cold! We have another cold snap coming this weekend, but this time hopefully it won't freeze. I've had to cover my plants about five times this winter! I actually have lettuce out there that I planted back in September! :-) The last few days have been so beautiful. I hate to go back to jackets again. But, you and so many others out there would just love to get a break! So, I'll stop complaining.

Glad Mike has seen the show. It's very good, and I've seen every episode since it started.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments, even when I have very little to post :-) Still cold here. Spring may get here eventually.
