This hawk has been visiting our deck lately looking for small birds.
He's sitting on top of the bird feeder.....
....I guess I have to explain to him what the term "bird feeder" really means.
I think it is a Cooper's.
Mike took these photos. He heard it land....probably hit the glass windows and was recovering a bit before flying on. It came back the next day and caught a small bird.

Good pictures. Yes,a bird feeder is for birds to eat,but not to eat other birds.LOL
Great pictures...we have one in the neighborhood. Or did...I haven't seen it in a long while.

Great shots, Mary! We had one three years ago that hunted a good bit in our yard. I saw one this year on the back fence. He was after the birds in the olive tree. They are so beautiful!
It's rare for me to see a hawk or capture a picture. Good shots!
