A new year.....

A new year and I haven't even posted anything yet!  Here are some photos of the birds during our recent snow.  It's beginning to melt finally, but there is still plenty of snow at our house.  The temps have been pretty cold, but are finally warming up.  I've been busy sewing instead of taking bird photos.  I'm ready to get out and get some new photos!
I always love the Chickadees, so a few photos of one of these "cuties".

The Downy male trying to get the peanuts.

I like the way he bends his tail for balance.

The Titmice are so adorable!

He looks a bit wistful.....but I'm glad he got one of the peanuts.
The Carolina Wren was too fast for me to get any decent photos except this one.
Mr. Blue....the Blue Jays have really been stealing all the peanuts.

I thought I'd get a good shot of his beautiful feathers!

Winter Wonderland.....

Mike and I just had to go out walking (slogging through) the snow today!
 Shall we sit a spell.......?
 .........maybe not!

It is truly a winter wonderland right now.  We got another 3 inches of snow on top of the 7 we already had.  Gorgeous to look at!  The trees are just so pretty with all the snow on the branches.

Birds and snow......brrrrrrrrrrr!

A cold and windy day with snow on the ground....the birds were not happy!
I enjoy watching the Blue Jays.....they work so hard to steal every peanut I put out there!
 Bad hair day!
Got one!  They will stuff multiple peanuts in their mouth and they fly away to eat them.

 Looking a little less ruffled.
The birds "share" more in bad weather.  It's every bird for themselves to get as much food as they can!

White Christmas a day late!.....

Well, it didn't come until we were in bed for the night, but we did get a "white Christmas"!  About 7 inches is our best guess looking at the piles on the railing and places.
Our very own snow dome......hope nobody picks it up and shakes it to see the snow falling around it :-)
Titmouse looking for a peanut....or any food!
 Disgusted wren

"Keep plenty of this suet stuff out here!"
 "Enough.....no more snow, please?!"

"I wonder if it tastes better up here at the top."
"Sigh........winter!"
