Come on in the water's fine.....

I had to post these...these little sparrows have been playing in the birdbath for hours! You wouldn't think an 1/8 of an inch of water could provide so much fun.....except for the young male who thinks this is different sort of "bath house". I added more water for them, after seeing how much fun they were having.

Beautiful flowers to vote on....

There is another wonderful flower contest to vote on at Moseplassen! I love her contests but always want to vote for all of them! Check it out!

Oops! I forgot to take pictures yesterday!.....

......so, I dug through last week and found these that I didn't post. I still love these Obedience Plants and found out more of them had sprung up next to the garage.
I'm holding this down low to make it stand up straight for a more detailed picture :-)

More of those red bugs on the pods that are hanging from the Honey Vine on my dead tree. Sort of yucky and neat at the same time.

Last week I went downtown to see an art show that several local fiber artists, including some quilters from our guild, were having and while I was there I photographed a couple of interesting building facades.

I just love neat old details on buildings and really should look for more!

This building had a neat corner, but I wasn't sure if it was old or new, because they had added other new ironwork to the front of the building.

Would you believe that this is on the side of a bank???? I hope they have a better system than this!

The exhibit was very interesting

Loved these wooden bowls and vases!

OK....that's it! We are headed out of town again for 3 days, so I have no idea where or when I will be posting next or what I may see! You'll be the first to know!

Ruby Tuesday....

(regular nature post below)
Kaleidoscope! My husband loves these and I thought this cheerful red plane was a nice "ruby" to show!
The real "rubies" are inside :-)
(I can't believe it actually worked to hold the camera to the opening and shoot!)

So much color in such a small package.

Rubies and emeralds :-)
For more Ruby Tuesday posts click on the icon on my side bar. Thanks to the hosts of this wonderful site.

My home birds....ever faithful

My home birds have been ignored by me lately....at least for posting photos. Fluffy looking titmouse in deep concentration.

Chickadee drinking from the ant guard, while the Goldfinch watches. Do you think ant flavored water is a specialty? Full of nutrients? Mike says its "sports water" for birds :-)

Downy with a morsel of food which he then drops on his chest....just like the rest of us sloppy eaters . Does his wife nag him about food stains??

Hummer looking well fed.
Mystery bird......a young black bird of some sort changing? Red wing? Cowbird?

A dove looking very regal.

Female cardinal looking at the feeders.....until she sees me. Cardinals always make me feel so guilty. They are so jumpy and I feel like its all my fault that they don't come and eat.

Male cardinal looking more mauve than bright red. Molting?

Happy Goldfinch....never bothered by anything or anyone.

Female goldfinch eyeing the "sports water" cup :-)

It's a stretch, but she made it!

So, back to stripping the Black-eyed Susan's of any seeds that remain.

Bird on a wire.....actually a vine, but what the heck!
Looks like she's swinging and singing :-)
