I feel I need to post something so you all know I am still here. So I will just choose an assortment of photos that I have taken this spring in no particular order.
I love this turtle and his reflection
Another one of the many turtles at the wetlands. The water has been high with all the rain we have so they don't have a lot of logs to sit on right now.
Probably why we have this pile-up :-)

In the shot below I couldn't decide if it has something in its mouth or if it is just crossing over something.

An upside down Chickadee. Today I saw a baby chickadee in the front yard with the parent but haven't downloaded those photos. I don't think I got any good shots of the baby anyway, but I was sure glad to see it.
Pair of Mourning Doves
One of the springtime visitors....the Rose-breasted Grosbeak male. I've had one pair of them hanging around.
Another Red-bellied Woodpecker high up in the maple tree.
A swallow at the local park
We went up north for a couple of days to Turkey Run State Park and the area around it. There are many covered bridges in the area and we hunted up 4-5.
Some more baby geese
Some beautiful wildflowers. Keep meaning to look up the name of the red ones.
There are Amish in this area, too, so I caught a few shots of the farmers plowing their fields with the horses.

Yes Mary you are right, I thought you had left the planet!! Great to see you here on bloggland again and with such a wide and wonderful array of photgraphs to show us. of course I loved seeing all the different birds and their young and liked the covered bridges. Hope you are week and have a wonderful weekend
I'm sorry I haven't visited your blog much, and of course we missed each other when you came to Tucson. My life is so crazy right now. I just haven't had much time to spend on things I used to. We are moving to Oregon in the fall, and I have a LOT to accomplish before the move can be made. I loved this post, though. The photos are all wonderful, and I especially loved the turtles. Hope you guys are doing well.

I haven't posted much lately, either, Mary. I like all your pictures [except I don't like snakes!]. Those turtles are some healthy looking specimens! Love the birds. Hope you and Mike are doing well.
What a great bunch of photos...i know we both love the turtles. I am sorry to be so late visiting this. I don't know if you noticed but I have been on a blog break. For some reason I was thinking you had went to Shades. I thought about trying to tell you how to get to that Heron Viewing Station while you were there, but didn't know if you would want to add that to your agenda.

Hello from Germany! I love that geese family. I also love the mockingbird. When I was growing up in Kentucky, I used to marvel at the sound of the mockingbird singing :)
